Dulwich Padel Club Code of Conduct

Becoming a member of DPC and using the facilities and services provided means you agree to abide by the following code of conduct.

 

Facilities and Health & Safety

  • Members must abide by all the rules put in place by Dulwich Sports Club and Dulwich Padel Club.  

  • Any damage due to negligence or misconduct will be the responsibility of the member?.

  • No misuse of courts, glass, nets, or lighting. 

  • Any damage or safety concern should be reported immediately to a member of on-site staff

  • Play at your own risk.  Members are responsible for managing their own health and any injuries.

  • Players must follow all safety signage and staff instructions at all times.

  • A defibrillator and First Aid kit is in the main pavilion – at the opposite end to the kitchen. 

  • A defibrillator is also in the lower pavilion

 

Guests

  • Members are responsible for the behaviour and conduct of their guests at all times.

 

Safeguarding / Juniors​

  • Please refer to our safeguarding policy found on the website Safeguarding page.

  • Any safeguarding concerns should be reported to our safeguarding officer:

  • All juniors, both players and spectators and whether on or off court, must be under the supervision of a responsible adult who is not participating in a game. The only exception is when a junior is attending an organised club session.

 

Membership

  • Is non-refundable during the year and will renew annually, unless either side cancels.

  • Yearly subscriptions begin on the opening date of the courts and renew on the same date each year.

  • Household membership requires both members to live at the same address.

  • The club reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership in the event of a breach of this Code of Conduct.

Temporary Playing Members (Pay and Play)

  • A person whose name appears on a court or playing facility booking made through a booking system authorised by the Council shall, upon attending the Club for that booking, be deemed to be a Temporary Playing Member of the Club for the day of that booking.

  • A Temporary Playing Member shall:

(a) be entitled to use only those sporting facilities included within the booking and such ancillary facilities of the Club as the Council may from time to time determine;

(b) be entitled to purchase refreshments and use the licensed premises in accordance with the Club Premises Certificate and the Club's Rules;

(c) be bound by the Articles of Association, these Rules and any regulations or codes of conduct issued by the Council; and

(d) have no voting rights and no entitlement to hold office or to enjoy any other rights of membership unless separately admitted as a member of the Club.

 

Court use   

  • Strictly no play

    • before 8am 

    • after 10pm (8.30 pm on Sunday or Bank Holidays) 

  • All bookings must be made via the Nettla app, and are subject to availability.

  • Bookings can not be transferred or sold outside of the app.

  • Players who book the court must be present (unless parents booked for a junior member).

  • Juniors members will have a discounted booking fee. Parents may book courts for juniors using this discounted rate; however, the court must be used by juniors only.  

  • Each player on any court must pay the correct fee for their membership status.

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance will receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable.

  • DPC reserves the right to amend or cancel bookings where necessary (e.g. maintenance, safety, weather).

  • Coaching is only permitted by club-approved coaches.

No Shows

  • Repeated ‘No Shows’ for court bookings, socials or events may result in booking restrictions or suspension. 

 

Court Etiquette & Behaviour

  • Players must treat others with respect at all times.

  • Abusive, aggressive, or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • Excessive noise, disruption, or unsporting behaviour should be avoided.

 

Dogs

  • Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times whilst at the DSC and may not be left unattended.

 

Data and Nettla Usage

  • Members must keep account details accurate and up to date.

  • DPC may use contact details for operational and club-related communications.

 

Noise

  • Please respect our neighbours at all times. 

  •  Keep noise to a minimum both on court and as you arrive and leave the club.

 

Attire

  • Members must wear appropriate sports clothing and suitable footwear at all times.

 

Travel to the Club

At Dulwich Sports Club we are committed to sustainable transport, and as part of our sustainability mission we want to reduce the proportion of journeys made to the club by car.    
We therefore ask all members and visitors to consider whether you really need to drive when you come to the club, and to try to walk, cycle or come on public transport whenever possible.   
If you need to come by car, please consider car sharing when you can.  


There is limited space in the car park.   

Please park considerately and always turn off your engine if you are waiting to pick anyone up.
